CoursePlanner collects your personal information, including your name, student email address, academic record details you choose to upload under Transcript or enter (such as completed courses, grades, and degree progress), course-plan selections, and class scheduling data. This information is collected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), sections 26(c) and 26(e), for the purpose of providing and administering course planning and academic advising support for UBC students, including service improvement and internal evaluation.

Your information is used only for operating CoursePlanner features, supporting your planning and advising experience, communicating about your account, and improving the platform. Access is limited to authorized UBC personnel and approved research personnel involved in platform operations. Your information is not sold and is not disclosed outside UBC except where required by law or with your consent.
